Patent Attorneys

Patent attorneys are familiar both with the laws concerning the protection of inventions, trademarks and designs and with science and technology.

The patent attorneys in Schwan Schorer & Partner all graduated from university in a technical or scientific subject, and have worked in a technical field for a minimum of one-year. Following this they have completed at least three-years of training in a patent law firm as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court. During this training they have completed an education in general law at the Open University of Hagen. In addition to taking the bar exam for German Patent Attorneys, they have also passed the European Qualifying Examination at the European Patent Office.

All our patent attorneys are experienced registered representatives for the European Patent Office, the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court, the Federal Court of Justice in patent nullity appeal proceedings, the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market of the European Union as well as for the authorities of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
